Pooleys at SleapKosh 2026

Every July, one corner of Shropshire becomes the busiest patch of sky in the country. SleapKosh is back for 2026, running from Friday 10 to Sunday 12 July at Sleap Airfield near Shrewsbury, and we would not miss it.

Hosted by Shropshire Aero Club, SleapKosh has earned its reputation as the UK answer to Oshkosh. What began as a friendly gathering has grown into the biggest fly in airshow in the country, with more than 500 visiting aircraft expected this year from across the UK and Europe. Pilots fly in and camp under the wing, swapping stories late into the evening, with warbirds, vintage types and modern light aircraft all sharing the same grass. Add live music, food, a busy exhibitor area and an evening airshow on the Friday and Saturday nights, and you have one of the most relaxed and genuinely enjoyable weekends in the general aviation calendar.

What we love most is that this is an airshow for pilots, run by pilots. So many events are built around the crowd at the fence, but SleapKosh is shaped around the flying itself. Aircraft fly in from all over, park up on the grass and camp under the wing, and the whole weekend has the feel of a proper community coming together rather than a show being put on for spectators. There is something lovely about wandering between the tents at the end of the day, seeing pilots sat out by their aircraft, and knowing that everyone here shares the same love of flying. That spirit is rare, and it is exactly what keeps drawing us back.

Why this show matters to us

Sleap sits on our doorstep, and the welcome from Bruce, Alex and the whole Shropshire Aero Club team is one of the reasons we keep coming back. We have been part of SleapKosh for several years now, and it has become a real fixture for us. It is where we get to put the kit in people's hands, talk through what works and why, and meet the pilots who use our products week in and week out.

It is also one of the few weekends where so much of the community is in one place at the same time. Student pilots, instructors, club flyers, display pilots and the trade all mix freely, and that easy atmosphere is exactly what we love about the show.

What we bring to Sleap

You will find us in the exhibitor area with our full range on display, from flight guides and kneeboards to headsets, charts and the everyday essentials that keep pilots organised and safe. If you have been meaning to try something before you buy, this is the place to do it.

We will have the team on the stand all weekend, along with our ambassadors, who are always happy to talk flying, answer questions and share what they carry in their own flight bags. Whether you are just starting out or you have thousands of hours in the logbook, come and say hello.

Supporting the show

For us, SleapKosh is about more than a stand and a sales table. Shropshire Aero Club puts an enormous amount of work into making this happen each year, and we are proud to support a show that does so much to bring people into aviation and keep the general aviation community strong. Events like this one are how the next generation of pilots catch the bug, and that is something we will always get behind.

See you there

Fly in slots must be booked in advance this year because demand is so high, so if you are planning to bring an aircraft, get your slot confirmed at sleapkosh.co.uk. If you are coming by road, even better, there is plenty to see on the ground.

We will be there from Friday 10 July. Come and find the Pooleys stand, say hello, and let us help you get ready for the season ahead.
