Confidence on Every Frequency

AI Powered Radiotelephony Training for Pilots

VoxAero is an AI-powered radiotelephony training platform that lets student and qualified pilots practise real radio calls with simulated air traffic control. It is the first product of its kind to offer dynamic, voice-led, CAP 413 – compliant RT practice from any UK airfield to any UK airfield.

I know hearing ‘AI powered’ makes you think of robotic voices, and constant errors, I can assure you VoxAero has been built differently to that stereotype.

Great for:

Student pilots (PPL, NPPL, LAPL) preparing for first solo, first cross-country, and RT exam. Qualified pilots looking to refresh or build confidence on unfamiliar frequencies. Flight schools seeking a structured RT training tool to supplement in-aircraft instruction. International pilots training in the UK who need to practise English RT procedures.

How does it work?

Users plot a route between any two UK airfields, or just a local flight, like you usually would for real flight; using familiar navigation software, birds eye view like you usually would, speaking to ATC as you normally would. Your calls and the ATC’s response correlates with your aircraft's movement, as well as being able to drag your aircraft manually - from taxi to takeoff, through controlled and uncontrolled airspace, to circuit joining and landing, with overlooked and classic scenarios along the way.

Not the Type of AI Simulation you're thinking of!

The AI acts as every controller along the route, switching voice per different frequency - Tower, Ground, Approach, AFIS, AGCS - responding in real time. Yes it's fully CAP 413 compliant, but more importantly, the AI ATC has been trained to act and behave like a human, everything from stuttering to realistic sky lingo. With debriefs outlining the proper terminology. It doesn't follow a script. It listens, responds, and throws in the same curveballs a real controller would: traffic information, frequency changes, hold instructions, go-arounds.

Realistic, yet correct!

After each session, a detailed debrief breaks down what the user said versus what they should have said, highlighting recurring errors and guiding what to practise next. No flight sim. No expensive cockpit hardware. Just a browser, a microphone, and realistic radio practice that builds the confidence students can't get anywhere else.

Key Features

Voice-led simulation — speak to ATC exactly as you would on frequency, powered by state of-the-art AI voice technology (ElevenLabs) with dynamic, non-scripted responses. Full UK airfield coverage — fly from any UK airfield to any other, through real airspace, with accurate frequencies and procedures. CAP 413 compliant — every ATC response is grounded in the UK's official radiotelephony manual. Multiple ATC services — ground, tower, approach, radar, flight information services, each with distinct voices and procedures. Running commentary — constant guidance on where you are, what phase of flight you're in, and what's coming next. Visual cues and prompts — on-screen notifications when to change frequency, make a call, or respond.RT Guide — in-simulation reference showing exactly what your next message should contain, dynamically updated. Live kneeboard — squawk, QNH, current frequency, and next frequency options always visible. Post-session debrief — phase-by-phase breakdown of CAP 413 errors, missed readbacks, phraseology issues, and what to practise next. Familiar interface — built on a bird's-eye navigation map similar to SkyDemon, with real airspace overlays and elevation data. Accessible — designed with input from Aerobility to support disabled pilots.
